In the main windows Mail program window (not in a message composition
window). Click on Tools - Options.. - Spelling Toggle the setting by selecting a different language, click on Apply, then select English, Apply. -- Windows 7 Ultimate http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview http://download.live.com/wlmail "Grizz48" wrote in message news ![]() "Irish" wrote: I go to tools, like everyone is saying, but when I do that there is no options for me to click on too. Where do I find where I can choose a language? Microsoft needs to hire a team of "challenged computer operators" like us average people. They would quickly learn that their instructions and expectations for their average computer users ARE NOT UNDERSTANDABLE AND USEABLE. Come on guys, unless I've been in a coma for the past ten years and missed a major change in our country, ENGLISH is still our primary language, and therefore should still be available !! |

I don't know why people expect that a computer should be as easy
to operate as a toaster. Every specialty has its own terminology. If the terminology mystifies you, take a beginner's PC course at your local community college. Many organizations also offer free computer lessons. -- Gary VanderMolen, Microsoft MVP (Mail) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/def...le/vandermolen "Grizz48" wrote in message news ![]() Microsoft needs to hire a team of "challenged computer operators" like us average people. In the main screen of Windows Mail, (NOT the compose screen), go to
Tools, Options, Spelling. First select another language, click Apply. Then reselect English and click OK. -- Gary VanderMolen, Microsoft MVP (Mail) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/def...le/vandermolen "val" wrote in message ... I went to the main window in Windows Mail and pressed the "alt key" and the
"t key" (for tools) but nothing happened. When I went to the main window in Windows Mail, I made sure that my folders were closed as this would have been outside of the main window in Windows Mail (at least that is what I figured). Please let me know what I am doing wrong because I am determined to get to the spell check options and follow what I've read on these community posts. Thank you very much! -- Khalil Abdul-Majid "Irish" wrote: I go to tools, like everyone is saying, but when I do that there is no options for me to click on too. Try doing it the way that stilwant2 described, using the mouse instead of
the keyboard. "Khalil43" wrote in message ... I went to the main window in Windows Mail and pressed the "alt key" and the "t key" (for tools) but nothing happened. Not sure why you are closing folders (whatever that means).
The main window is the one you see when Windows Mail opens, before you have clicked on anything inside Windows Mail. You should see a menu bar with File, Edit, View, Tools, Message, Help. -- Gary VanderMolen, Microsoft MVP (Mail) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/def...le/vandermolen "Khalil43" wrote in message ... Well well well! I thank you all so very much. I found out that I had to
maximize the window in order to get to the menus and when I did that I was able to access the spell checker. I was so happy I purposely mispelled a few words so I could do lmy spell check! -- KJID "Gary VanderMolen (MVP)" wrote: Not sure why you are closing folders (whatever that means).
