Default Postgresql installation problem with initdb

Hello,

I'm trying for a long now to install postgresql 8.3.5 on vista. I tried
to disabled the UAC on vista, or even run the .msi file as
administrator, but i still got the same error: "Failed to run initdb".

it is written at the end of initdb.log:
"...creating template1 database in C:/Program
Files/PostgreSQL/8.3/data/base/1 ... initdb: could not execute command
""C:/Program Files/PostgreSQL/8.3/bin/postgres.exe" --boot -x1 -F ": No
error "

Help needed please!!!

P.S: user and superuser postgres have been successfully created
