I'm getting ready to build my next machine. I'm considering whether or not to
run two hard drives using Intel Matrix Storage. My basic thought was to run 2x the 300GB WD VelociRaptors but with two partitions per, say 100+100 RAID0 for the OS, apps, and paging (everything but \user) and 200+200 RAID1 mounted at \user. Is this possible to setup in an initial Vista installation without a big undocumented and unsupported science project? Any hints/guides/URLs would be helpful. I got lots of results googling but none seemed to address my question. |

Hi Dick,
I have found this article and site to be useful. http://www.intel.com/support/chipset.../CS-022648.htm -- Paul "Dick Watson" wrote: I'm getting ready to build my next machine. What that article seems to leave unanswered is how to get Vista to install
\users in a secondary volume or how to relocate \users to a secondary volume after initial installation. "PaulB" wrote in message ... http://www.intel.com/support/chipset.../CS-022648.htm |

Hi Dick,
There are a number of articles on the subject. Just Google Moving user folder Vista. Paul "Dick Watson" wrote in message ...
