I used to use microsoft xp and recently bought a new computer and installed firefox. I can download files, however, unlike before, i cannot open them as a "grey icon" comes up and when i look in the directory i have downloaded to, there is NO file. I've tried this a billion times and it takes 10 minutes to download something on my computer, it'll never ever appear. I can download files perfectly with internet explorer but I really like using firefox and would love some help on this. Thanks zsmall -- zsmall |

If Vista, to which directory are you trying to download? In Firefox's options, set the download directory to either the Desktop or to your user Downloads folder. The latter will be C:\Users\your-user-name\Downloads. Please post back with clarification. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! FAQ - http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/#FAQ |
