I keep several different profiles on my computer so that everyone in the family has there own email and settings. Although I am always trying to get my kids to close all programs and log off, often I find that they walk away from the computer without logging out. I am thinking that this is using up my computer resources and I like to log them off myself. When I had XP I was able to start the task manager, select users, and then log off any user. Now in Vista, it says that the user could not be logged off. I am the administrator of the computer and I should be able to do this, shouldn't I? My only alternative at this point is to re-start the computer. Is there a better way? -- CooSer |

You may not be elvating the Task Manager by clicking on "Show processes from all users". This tutorial will help show you how to if needed. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/13...ocal-user.html Hope this helps, Shawn -- Brink *There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.* '*Windows 7 Forums*' (http://www.sevenforums.com/) *and* '*::Vista Forums::*' (http://www.vistax64.com) *Please post feedback to help others.* |

That is tremendous. I guess I was leaving out the step of "Show prossesses of all users". Thanks so much. I've been wanting to do this for half a year! -- CooSer |
