Default No Wakeup

After I put my computer to sleep, I try to wake it up by tapping the
spacebar and it will startup for about 4 seconds then shut off then
startup for 4 seconds shut off etc. etc. Anybody got any ideas?
Typically I have to pull the plug and replug to get started again.
