Visit 'Microsoft Silverlight: Light Up the Web' (http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/) . If you can see the images, you can bet, its been installed ![]() It would have been installed in your C:\Program Files\Microsoft Silverlight folder. Should you wish to uninstall it, you can always do so through the Control Panel. -- HappyAndyK www.WinVistaClub.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ HappyAndyK's Profile: http://winvistaclub.com/forum/member.php?userid=4 View this thread: http://winvistaclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26005 |

Silverlight is MS's answer to Adobe's Flash.
Flash is better. -- Mad Mike "Gummy bear sp1" wrote: hmm i see the icon itself in the programs section..when i ttyped C:\Program Files\Microsoft Silverlight folder. in start menu, search came up blank. the other thing is, i saw silverlight is running but in FF only hmmm -- Gummy bear sp1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gummy bear sp1's Profile: http://winvistaclub.com/forum/member.php?userid=824 View this thread: http://winvistaclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26005 |

"Gummy bear sp1" wrote in message ... well i dont see any silverlight icons except within the programs list..although i downloaed it a second time. hmm.. i ask myself..do i really need it? Silverlight is not an application per se, it is a platform like Adobe Flash that allows websites to use "rich multimedia" content. Just like Flash, you don't need anything in your start menu etc., it plugs in to your browser(s). As to whether or not you need it, that depends on if you use web sites that make use of Silverlight, and whetehr or not they still work properly if you don't hav eit installed. I don't have it installed, and have yet to feel like I'm missing out on anything. -- Zaphod No matter where you go, there you are! |
