*Can somebody tell me why my printer does not print like it did when I
had and HP. My HP died and now I have a Dell with Vista. I'm tired of
trying to get it to work. I can't even check the printer levels. I
keep putting in new cartridges but my colors are all messed up if it
prints at all. Please help. *

*I have no idea if I installed more drivers or whatever. I tried to
load from a DVD for my HP 1500 but it didn't work. I don't know what I
need to do. I am NOT a computer whiz. In fact I am computer ignorant.
So please help me. Thanks

Hi Delbert,

Sorry, no support from HP ( third one down on this page )

'HP LaserJet and Color LaserJet Products - Product Support Matrix for
Microsoft Windows Vista - c00808536 - HP Business Support Center'

HP probably want you to buy a new one

With any printer, you need to install the proper drivers for the operating
system you are running. In many cases, if you have a printer a few years
old, its manufacturer may not provide drivers for Vista, and the printer
will not work under Vista.

Remove the drivers that are now installed. Download the proper drivers,
found here
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s... 8800&lang=en

and install them.

If you need/want further instructions, pleas post back.
