I have an installation of Vista Business and the "windows" folder is about
12GB. Is this normal or is there a way to cut this down? And what in the
heck does Vista need 12GB for?

Thanks in advance!

That's about right. Most of the space is probably taken up with shadow
copies. You can clean up your temporary files with Disk Cleanup.

The size of my Windows folder in Vista Home Premium is 15.7 Gb!!!! It is
a considerable chunk of my 80 Gb hard drive, and I'm looking for ways to
cut this down. Has anyone got any suggestion what I should look for
that is not necessary for operations of Windows?
Thanks
