I have an installation of Vista Business and the "windows" folder is about
12GB. Is this normal or is there a way to cut this down? And what in the heck does Vista need 12GB for? Thanks in advance! -- Jason Michel (remove ns. for direct email) |

Most of the space is probably taken up with shadow copies. You can clean up your temporary files with Disk Cleanup. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! The size of my Windows folder in Vista Home Premium is 15.7 Gb!!!! It is a considerable chunk of my 80 Gb hard drive, and I'm looking for ways to cut this down. Has anyone got any suggestion what I should look for that is not necessary for operations of Windows? Thanks -- milanilic |
