Hello...
I've Xerox WorkCentre PE220 connected to Vista x86 Ultimate PC. I wont to print from another PC on network, running Vista x64 Ultimate. I get "no drivers error"... Tried to solve it by adding this printer as Local Port (\\otherpc \printername) - not worked - no rights Created additional account on x64 machine, with name and password as on x86, and tried to add Local Printer - it worked fine... so I've switched back to original acc. on x64 machine, saw the "printer connected" status, deleted this "same as" account... all print jobs since then got "error" status. Basically, all this can be solved adding "additional driver" for x64 to x86 machine printer driver (network sharing) - but I don't know where to get this driver. May be there is a way to convert regular x64 driver to "additional"? I don't know. I'm looking for solution to be able to print to that network printer and not to have additional account on x64 machine for that. |

You should download the 64 bit printer driver from the manufactory.

Hi
The Driver of the Network available printer has to be installed on each computer that is going to use this printer. The drives has to be compatible wit the version of the OS that is installed on each individual computer. Some Network Printers has also a special control utility that has to be installed on each computer too. Jack (MS, MVP-Networking) "david2tm" wrote in message ... Hello...
