Can I send something from the internet,my e-mail, or u-tube
to a mobile phone as a text message? If not where are people getting some of
the text's that I receive??

Depends on the cellphone vendor. For Verizon cells, point your browser to
www.verizon.com, then click on Messaging, the on Send a Text Message.

I used to open the front door and shout for my teenagers, but times change. :-D
