Hello,
I'm having a strange problem with my printer drivers. I have been using my canon for a while on my laptops, shared from my desktop. I had it installed for 2 users on my laptop. When I tried later to install it for a third, it said: "Windows cannot connect to the printer. Unable to find a core driver package that is required by the printer driver package". I went back to one of the other account, removed it and tried to add it right back with the same error. Has anyone else seen this? I know this is mostly server focused now, but this is really weird and I can't print! thanks, adam |

One more thing I noticed. It looks like the print enumerator is showing
up as an unknown device... AdamC wrote: Hello, I'm having a strange problem with my printer drivers. I have been using my canon for a while on my laptops, shared from my desktop. Try this it worked for me, I had the same problem. Here is the fix for the "Empty Printer List". C:\windows\inf\INFCACHE.1 is most likely corrupt and should be deleted. You will need to edit its file permissions to give Full Control to the User Group before you will be allowed to delete it. Credit to: Bob (of), Windows Vista Community, Hardware & Devices I personally used this method and it works and works well. But I assume no liability or credit. -- OzBoy |
