I'm trying to setup a digital Network Camera to send emails to me when it records by a triggered motion sensor. The TECH Support for the camera said i will need to contact my IP provider for all the other information before the camera can send the email. Here is a page of stuff that i need to fill out. If anyone can tell me what i need to put in each blank OR help me understand what i need to ask my IP provider. Please do. I have been trying but it's still not sending me emails cause i dont have the right info in. I have but read that i can't use free email. I use my IP's provided email at but don't know if i can use it for the camera. Thanks for any help with this.. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: import.jpg | |Download: http://www.vistax64.com/attachment.p...achmentid=8010 | +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- SevSaint |

You posted that form to a site which requires membership for
file access. Few of us will go to the bother of doing that. Post it to someplace more user-friendly, like http://tinypic.com. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "SevSaint" wrote in message ... I can see some problems with the information asked in that form.
That form was obviously designed long before the advent of modern day options like SSL, since SSL is not mentioned anywhere on that form. The form is hopelessly outdated for newer email services like Gmail. I would have suggested you use your dishmail.net account instead, but I see it also uses the Gmail servers: http://wildblueworld.com/dishmail.net/howdoi.php#5.2.2 Ask the camera support techs, how are you supposed to designate whether the mail server requires SSL? -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "SevSaint" wrote in message ... when and why would i need to ask about authentication. And why should i fill any of that out. And should i download software that allows you to access by stmp, or is that useless. Darn this is very complicated just to get a single picture to my email. -- SevSaint |

It would be helpful if you disclosed what your preferred email method
is. Who is your mail provider? -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "SevSaint" wrote in message ... when and why would i need to ask about authentication. And why should i fill any of that out.
