Default Transfer complete Harddrive to backup hard drive in vista

Good Morning!
I have a IDE hard drive with Win XP on my old computer and would like
to transfer all files and programs to a spare hard drive in my new
computer. The idea is to be able to boot the old hard drive in the new
computer.
The new computer has Vista 32 ultimate with 4 sata hard drives. At this
time only one hard drive is connected.

How do I link and preform this task?

Is your installation of winxp a retail version, or OEM supplied with your
old PC?
If the latter, no can do as its licensed only to the origonal PC

The old computer i custom built from scratch with the full price XP OS
disk (I still have). Started playing online games back in 1999 need I
say more. Wanted to transfer the whole package due to length and time
for a re install.

The new computer I built has:
CPU E6850
4 gig's of ram
8800 GTX vidio card
Sharkey Extreem mother board
4 SATA hard drives - 1 being used

If no one comes along, google for Vista Dual boot
You'll have to conduct a repair installation of winxp to install the correct
drivers

DL,
Good afternoon!
Thanks for the input - I'll look into the dual boot.

Have a great weekend!
