Hi
There are variety of way to log to a Network through Wireless. Proxy is a very general term. It is like telling you to take a Subway in New York without knowing where you want to go, which line to use, and where the station is. You should check with the University people what exactly are the logon process and the credentials that are needed to connect to their Network.
