Desktop problem with shortcut to media player
If I set up a shortcut to media player on the desktop and double click on it to open, nothing happens (wait hourglass flashes then dissappears). If I right click on the icon and click open, again nothing happens but it will let me open it with Run as Administrator All users seem to be set up ok on the administrator Any Clues???? JDUB |

Have you tried deleting that shortcut and add another, maybe from the Quick Launch bar? Also, try running Command Prompt as an Administrator and type SFC /SCANNOW

Did you uninstall or install any programs before this happened? There for a while was an erratic/rare-ish bug in the uninstall of a Major Program from a major third party whereby it would incorrectly reset the access rights on a number of registry keys. Another side effect of that in some cases was that PNGs wouldn't show up in Internet Explorer. -- Speaking for myself only. See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
