I'm facing the same issue.

Does anyone has a fix for this please reply.

I'm unable to find the file after the download, no matter where do I save it.
May it be My Documents, Downloads, Desktop, etc.

It completes the download and the file dissappears.

And its not only with exe files as I have tried downloading zip, pdf, exe,
rar but of no avail.

File is not even locatable in the search, it simply vanishes.

I have the same problem.
Search provides the shortcut with a target to the folder and the file name,
but the file is not there.

Microsoft wants to charge me $60 to tell me how to fix their software issue
on this somewhat unstable operating system.

Does anyone @ Microsoft read these or know how to resolve this issue?

Hi,
I had exactly the same problem and no one could help. I was using IE8
at the time and all I did was to change browser. I now use Google's
Chrome. You can watch the download progress, run it and install it. It
also saves the file in your default directory, which when you visit,
there it is.

I worked for me. I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Stevieboy
