Vista - Wins commands for host lookup
I have been using netsh for wins lookups to get host's IP address:
netsh wins server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx show name Name=hostnetbiosname This command does not work on Vista ("wins" not supported?). Since the host's NetBios name many times does not match the dns, one cannot rely on the nslookup results. The only way to find host's IP number having a NetBios, a wins lookup has to be performed. Can anybody tell me how to do it on Vista?
