I am using Windows Vista Home Basic, with Service Pack 1.
Processor AMD Anthlon XP 3000+ 2.16ghz
2.00gb 32bit operating system.
Yes this behavior still persist.
I have tried to make sure all the basic settings are straight and they are.

What else can I do to turn off this pop up
no internet connection is available as
I posted earlier.

It's not a "pop up". It's message telling you that IE can
not detect a usable Internet connection. That may be
a problem with your router or your ISP's service.

What else can I do, please help????

I think you should find more knowledgeable help
about this symptom in a newsgroup which specializes
in networking for your OS. Cross-posting to Vista Networking.

BTW you haven't answered PA Bear's second question yet. ; )

Good luck

If you connect directly to the modem, bypassing the router altogether, does
this behavior persist?

Hello guys,
I am running IE 8 Beta.
However this pop up happens no matter what browser I am using.
I am using a netgear router for my wireless connection, and windows vista
home basic. I have even tried firefox and avant browser, just to try
different browsers.
Issue #1 is, I will be surfing the web from site to site with no problem.
My
Ineternet I have the roadrunner/brighthouse. The window that pops up at
random times is this pop window.
"work offline" No connection to the internet is currently available. To
view internet content that has been saved on your computer. Click work
offline. Then I get two choices of Work offline or Try again. Mind you I

never offline line. I have a lan cable connection? How can I turn this pop
up window off. It is really annoying to have to keep on closing it or
click
try again. Any suggestions?
