Default Failed to update the system registy


Hi...

I'm intalling in window vista a software for device communication that
I used in windows XP, but when I click on the icon to start the
program I get a message "Failed to update the system registy. Please
try using REGEDIT."

Please give me some advise or solution if any I'm not sure what to
do....

It sounds like the application may not be Vista compatible. Have you tried
using Run as administrator to start the installation program? Have you tried
the compatibility wizard?

You could try reinstalling again:
Right-click on the setup.exePropertiesCompatibility Tab Install in XP SP2
Mode

And have you contacted the Program's manufacturer re Vista patches?

Got it thanks......yes I spoke to the manufacture and they don't have
it for vista ya.....
