I have two computers running Vista sp1. Both have the same MMC version. On
one computer I can use the shared folder plug in to create a new share but on the other computer the menu (NEW SHARE) to do it does not appear when you right click shares in the shared folders console tree. In the working system if I right click on on any share folder shown I get the option to stop sharing but on the problem MMC I can only OPEN the folder. Any ideas where to start with this please -- thanks in advance for any help Peter |

Further details.
On the PC that has the problem with MMC if I go to the command prompt and type mmc I get the blank MMC console. If I add the shared folder plug in then try to use it I still get the problem. Is there a service that is preventing the shared folder wizard running ?? -- thanks in advance for any help Peter "pafos" wrote: I have two computers running Vista sp1.
