Default Windows Vista on Windows Server 2003 Domain

Occasionally throughout the day (I have not narrowed down what causes it to
happen), Vista comes up with the following error:

Group Policy Client has stopped working
Problem Signatu APPCRASH
Application Name: svchost.exe_gpsvc
Application Version: 6.0.6001.18000

Exception Code: c00000fd
Exception Offset: 00069dbf

This is our first Vista PC on the domain, the rest are XP Pro machines. The
PC is a Lenovo X61 Tablet PC and comes and goes from the business. The owner
has several mapped drives that are done locally on the PC. What do I start
troubleshooting to figure out why this is happening?
