... can you take ur harddrive or hard disk out of ur laptop and still use the internet??? No. The HDD is what contains your operating system, without which your computer won't even start up. -- Asking a question? Please tell us the version of the application you are asking about, your OS, Service Pack level and the FULL contents of any error message(s) |

Hi,
Not normally. Your hard drive contains the operating system that you use to connect, as well as web browser and email software. Pretty much everything you do is contained on the hard drive. However..... What you can do though, is boot the system with a bootable OS disk like a self-contained Linux system disk. These contain everything you need on an optical disk (CD/DVD) and do not require that a hard drive be installed. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "ewastudent" wrote in message ... can you take ur harddrive or hard disk out of ur laptop and still use the internet??? |
