Default printer not working/ no error?!

Help! I have Vista Home Premium and a Konica Minolta Magicolor 2400W
printer. Everything was working fine and now it just won't print. I get
no popup or error codes. Nothing happens at all. Like I didn't even
click 'print'. I have uninstalled and reinstalled printer. Driver is
available thru Vista and all is recognized. I have stopped and started
the spooler, I have disconnected and reconnected the printer. I have
powered up and down the printer and rebooted the computer. Still nothing
helps. I have installed in another USB port, and checked the log for
errors. I have canceled the print job and tried other pages to print.
All go to the queue and just sit there. The printer is set to default
and it is not timing out or erroring out. I get nothing at all. It just
sits there. It is showing print offline (have tried online also just for
giggles) and nothing seems to work. I tried port under LPT1 and COM1 as
I am not sure at this point if I have somehow set that up incorrectly
and still nothing. I am running out of ideas!!!
ANY help would be greatly appreciated. All of this for a 40%
off coupon that expires today.

I suggest that you uninstall the printer through device manager shut your
system down and disconnect the printer.
Then reboot normally.
Then shutdown again and connect the printer and reboot and see if you get a
new device found dialog.

Thanks, I did uninstall through device manager, unplugged it from the
computer and the power. Rebooted the computer and added the printer.
Vista found and installed it and it appears to be working I checked
via documents, web page print and preview...all work! The strange thing
is when I hover over the printer icon in my tray, it shows 2 documents
pending even when there are none...hmmmm Ghosts? Hopefully they will "go
away" or I may start all over again just to be safe. I was getting ready
to do a voodoo dance around the thing....Thanks for saving me!

How does it show 2 pending? Are they listed? If yes then should be able to
select them and delete them.

Curious,

Thanks for the follow up. The "pending" 2 documents message only showed
up when I hovered mouse over the tray icon for the printer. When I
opened up the queue there were no documents to delete. Strange I know,
maybe a glitch in the queue? But it did disappear when I rebooted the
computer. Everything working fine now.
Thanks again!!
