I have never been able to backup this Vista PC (Dell Inspiron E1505) to DVD
using Windows backup and Restore. Each attempt fails after a few minutes with an error message that reads "the parameter is incorrect Ox80070057". I have tried multiple blank DVDs and enabling and starting the Windows Shadow Copy service (a suggestion seen on this forum). Has anyone experienced this and better yet know of a solution? I have found nothing else on the Communities posts, the MS Knowledge base or in general web searches. |

If you've been following the Vista groups, you already have seen a bazillion posts about Acronis True Image. You have to pay for it, but it works. And it is the best overall choice for those who want to make backups and/or clones of their system disks. Richie Hardwick |
