Microsoft Windows Search Protocol Host issue
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum so go easy  When I start my PC I get an error message pop up. Here are the details of the message: Title: Microsoft Windows Search Protocol Host has stopped working Options: -Check online for a solution (Ive already tired, and no such luck) -Close Additional Details- Problem signatu Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: SearchProtocolHost.exe Application Version: 6.0.6001.18000 Application Timestamp: 47919f9e Fault Module Name: SHELL32.dll Fault Module Version: 6.0.6001.18167 Fault Module Timestamp: 4912f0ff Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 0000000000068003 OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.6 Locale ID: 3081 Additional Information 1: 8761 Additional Information 2: 896b24a3eac71a344688eb1fb062c7af Additional Information 3: 633c Additional Information 4: 15c2cc957d8db17c57a7268bf9acfe1a Any ideas on how to fix this?? -- 45Percent

Hi,
That's the right version of the faulting module, so I suspect it may be corrupt. Click start and type CMD, then hit enter. Continue at the UAC prompt to open the command box. From the prompt, run "sfc /scannow". It will take some time to verify the system file set. Microsoft Windows Search Protocol Host issue
The is no need to participate in this thread any more, Windows has been re-installed, there for solving the error. The source supposedly was a virus or 32bit compatibly issue. Thanks anyway. -45percent -- 45Percent
