Default Vista Ultimate x64 Boot Slower then normal

I was talking to my friends and listening to music on Windows Messenger,
then my computer froze and everything just stop moving. So when i reset
it it gets stuck at the screen were it shows my motherboard. My computer
use to start up really fast, now its starting up really slow for some
reason. I just built it,so it not very old.

Hi,

Damaged hardware is the most likely explanation if it is sticking on the
POST. It is not unusual for a new component to fail in the first few
months - 'tis why there are warranties. First thing I would do is run memory
and hard drive diagnostics, and swap in a known-good power supply. If all
those come up ok, then I'd look to either the processor or motherboard. The
latter will often show swollen or leaky capacitors if it's gone bad, check
carefully with a strong flashlight.

Is it plugged into a UPS? If you had to power down chances are some
system files got corrupted. Either that or you're using mismatched
memory or have some defective hardware.
