Default Vista looses contact with network

I have a home network composed of a Linksys WRT54SRX router, two wired
desktops (1 running XP other running Vista home premium), 1 Linksys NSLU2
network storage link, plus other wireless laptops ocasionally. When I try to
transfer files from the PC with Vista both to the network storage link and to
the XP pc, often the file gtransfer is interrupted with the indication the
network is no longer available. This happens more often with longer files,
something like 4 GB and above. When transfering them to the Network storage
link from the XP based pc everything works ok.
Can somebody help me solve this problem, please?n Thanks
