Default Network between Vista and Xp

Hi there
Im trying to network a Vista Laptop with an Xp desktop. Though the desktop
appears to be within the same network, when i try to open or access it from
the Vista Laptop it says there is no connection.

I am relatively new at this so any help would be appreciated - would be
willing to set up the network again under guidance.

Hi
Maybe this can Help.
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is
allowed to be shared.
