un-able 2 shut down!!!

Default un-able 2 shut down!!!


i am unable to shut down my computer.
i go to start and there is click on the button and all i have is
switch users, log off, lock (seporator) restart (seportator) and sleep.
this happend after i checked the no GUI boot in the msconfig file under
boot.
i unchecked it but i am still unable to shut down my computer what do i
do?

Hi egorrs,

Try checking the power option settings to see if you can change
anything to fix it. I don't think the gui boot would do anything to
effect this. But if you have been stopping startup services or using a
cleaner program, you might have deleted something.

Maybe try running SFC to see if anything can be restored.
You might want to do a though scan with an antivirus program as well to
rule this out.
