Hi guys, this occurs with several applications and almost ALWAYS happens when
I open IE7.0 (i.e. I advised it to Remember My User ID and Password but when I open IE again, I am asked for this information again). It also occasionally occurs with Hotmail my bank,... It NEVER occurs (i.e. my ID and Password are ALWAYS remembered) with WSJ, eBay, Paypal.... Some applications it NEVER remembers my User ID and /or Password, some other applications it ALWAYS remembers them and still others application it's "hit or miss". Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob Remember in what application? "Boblink" wrote in message ... Ummm you don't NEED a "User ID and password" to open IE7. What are yoy doing EXACTLY? Some applications it NEVER remembers my User ID and /or Password, some other applications it ALWAYS remembers them and still others application it's "hit or miss". Sigh and WHAT "applications" ARE THEY? (Blood and stone springs to mind - no-one here can see your computer....) Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob Remember in what application? Sorry Gordon, what I meant to say is when I open Yahoo Mail with Mozilla, no
problem, it remembers my ID and Password but when I open Yahoo Mail with IE70, it does NOR remember my ID and/or Password, it ALWAYS asks for my ID and Password. I did NOT do anything different with IE and it works fine with Mozilla but NOT with IE. Thanks, Bob "Boblink" wrote in message ... Hi Dave, an interesting theory but when I tested it, I don't believe that it
holds true. I opened and closed Yahoo Mail five consecutive times with IE7.0 and did NOT run any Malware/Spyware programs (which I usually run at night) and ALL five times, Yahoo Mail asked me for my User ID and Password. When I did the same thing with Mozilla, Yahoo Mail opened without any "handholdong".
