I have Vista Business installed, and the hard disk is running constantly. I
have implemented several suggestions posted on this site, but none have really helped. Does anyone have any idea if anything else can be done, or what may be causing the problem? |

Do you have any virus scanners running? Do you have any registry "cleaners"
running? Do you have any defrag programs running? I believe I turned of the virus scanner. How to I determine if any registry cleaners are running? |

How to I determine if any registry cleaners are running? They won't be running... that was a really stupid question. You might remember who asked it and ignore that person. |

Open ask manager. I found my disk spinning itself to death (Ultimate 64) because of svchost.exe -- all of them were running at normal speed but 1... and this was immediately after a restart. -- xravexboix |
