"Operating System Not Found"
Every time i turn on my Compaq Presario F500 laptop alls i get is "Operating System Not Found" I have tried using the Vista Recovery Disc and it comes up with "Windows is loading files" Then i choose the language and everything to install it in and click next then click install now. Then it asks me to insert the product key and after i do that a pop up comes up saying: "Windows cannot open the required file D:\Sources\Install.wim. The file does not exist. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070002" Iv also tried clicking on "Repair your computer" and it comes up with a box that says System Recovery Options. But there is no operating system in the list to repair and when i click load drivers a pop up comes up saying: "insert the installation media for the device and click ok to select the driver" Could anyone at all tell me how to fix? And if theres anything else you want to know let me know and ill try and give you as much detail as possible. Thanks in advance guys =) -- shelleyann87 |

"Operating System Not Found"
I would start by checking the computer with the diagnostic software that
came with it, as it sounds like you have multiple failures going on. -- Richard G. Harper [MVP Desktop] * NEW!
