Default Vista 64 bit ultimate unable to recognize 6gb ram?

I apologize if this is posted somewhere else, I looked around for a bit
but couldn't find the answer to my question. I figured it'd be best to
just post it before my break is over. So anyway...

I recently spent a metric but ton (technical term there =P) on a new
computer. Bought an I7 processor, 6gb ddr3 ram, and 2 xfire vid cards. I
spent the better part of last night installing all the parts and vista.
After about 4 hours of work getting everything put together and
installed I noticed it was only recognizing 4gb of the 6 of ram. I read
elsewhere that 32 bit os could only do 4gb but 64 bit could do up to
(potentially) 128 or sometime like that. Is that right? For some reason
it's not recognizing or utilizing my last two gigabytes of ram. Anyone
have any ideas on why or a fix? Here's the links on the relevant parts I
ordered:

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time .

EDIT: Sorry about the double post this POS mac that I'm using at work
is being stupid

I have the SAME EXACT PROBLEM! I have an asus p6t and 6gb of dominator
gt's. I also have ultimate x64. BIOS says 4 gb, windows says 4gb, but
CPU-Z says 6 gb. When I run memtest 2 x 2048 and my system doesn't
freeze up even though i'm using way more than the 4gb the system
reports.

When i first installed the RAM everything said i had 6 gb then it just
randomly said i had 4gb.

It doesn't really feel like it's affecting performance but i just want
it to say 6gb everywhere, i don't know why...
