Please let us know the driver file name and the .inf file name.
Thanks, "Ernst - EXE Graphics" wrote: Did a roll back drivers on our XP machines, but it kept reinstalling the ideacom drivers on rebooting. Got rid of that problem by deleting the two driver files from windows/system32/drivers folder. Now to do it on the whole network. "Stuart" wrote: |

Right click on My Computer icon or go to Control Panel to bring up system properties. Click hardware tab, then device manager, then locate the offending IdeaCom device and right click for properties, click driver tab, then driver details. Listed are those drivers that need to be deleted and subsequent paths, in the WINDOWS folder. CAREFULLY , ensure the files are the ones from IdeaCom before you delete. -- davidfbfla |

Finally I found the solution. In my case Windows was installing same driver
even after uninstlling it. Finally I deleted C:\windows\inf\OEM9.inf file and then uninstalled the Ideacom drivers. On restarting machine it installed the PS/2 compatible driver and my mouse started working. "Rahul" wrote: Please let us know the driver file name and the .inf file name.
