Hi, I'm receiving this Error* whenever I try to log in to other PCs' or laptops' files, via a local network. The network seems to work fine, no router problems or connectivity problems. Therefore it definitely has to do with the Network and Sharing/Permissions options. It's strange though 'cos both the laptops and the other workstations can access my files (though a password); and I can access Media Files and other shared libraries aswell (but not the "Users" folder.) Settings of potential interest: _My_Computer_ Network Discovery: *On* File Sharing: *On* Public Folder Sharing: -Off- Printer Sharing: -Off- Password Protected Sharing: *On* Media Sharing: *On* _Laptops_ Network Discovery: *On* File Sharing: *On* Public Folder Sharing: -Off- Printer Sharing: -Off- Password Protected Sharing: *On* Media Sharing: *On* _Main_Server_Desktop_ Network Discovery: *On* File Sharing: *On* Public Folder Sharing: -Off- Printer Sharing: *On* Password Protected Sharing: -Off- Media Sharing: *On* Advanced Permission Settings are set to Everyone as Read for all desktops and notebooks. Thanks in advance, hope anyone there can solve this problem for me. *(Attached) +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: Network Error.jpg | |Download: http://www.vistax64.com/attachment.p...achmentid=9559 | +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- harjafsormok :geek: |

If logon the same user name with the same password, can you access now? Also
make sure you have assign permissions in the Security tab. -- Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "harjafsormok" wrote in message ... It doesn't give me a chance to log on! As soon as i double click on the computer icon in the 'Network' folder the error comes up. All permissions were re-checked and configured to everyone managing to read all folders, sub folders & files. Still doesn't work mate. ![]() Anything else I can do? Thanks for the reply though. -- harjafsormok :geek: |

..back to the *0x80070035* error code. Have tried putting same account with same passwords.. nothing. Have been through chicagotech forums but to no avail. The laptop can access files and folders from *CESCS-PC*, provided the username and password are entered correctly. The desktop receives the attached errors and cannot access any files from *DENISE-PC*.
