Default System Restore Error Message

I have a Dell Inspiron 530s purchased 5/08. I upgraded from Vista to Vista
Ultimate. I recently tried to install the Windows 7 Beta and received a
message that it could not identify my drives and I could not download the
program.

I tried to do a System Restore and received the following message:

There was an unexpected error in the property page:
The Volume Shadow Copy Service used by System Restore is not working.
For more information view the event log (0x81000202).
Please close the property page and try again.

I retried several times but it does not work. I tried getting info at
Microsoft Support but there was nothing available on this event log #.

Help!.......MP831
