im having trouble getting vista (laptop) and xp (desktop) to share files.. XP is wired to a billion 7402NX wireless router and vista is wirelessN both can access the net.. now the problem i have is vista and xp can see each others shared folders, xp can access the vista shares, but vista cant access the xp shares i get "folder is not accessible, you might not have permission"... i have installed LLTD on the xp machine but still no luck. however if i wire vista to the router it all works perfectly. so is there something else i gotta do to have wireless on the laptop. any ideas its a private network, network discovery is on, file sharing on, Password protected sharing OFF, public folder sharing on. computers can c and ping each other. workgroup set the same.. thanks -- dmitch ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dmitch's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/dmitch.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-v...rk/1101812.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
