I have an odd issue with my keyboard...
As of yesterday, my PS/2 keyboard will not work when I boot up Vista. What is odd is that it *will* still work in the bios and on the prompt asking whether to boot in safe mode. The keyboard is just a generic PS/2 keyboard. I also tried plugging in another keyboard, to no avail. Lastly, I do not own a USB keyboard of any sort. Does anybody have any ideas? -- QwertyBoy |

Hi,
Using the mouse, open device manager and remove (uninstall) it from the keyboards branch, then reboot. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "QwertyBoy" wrote in message ... I have an odd issue with my keyboard...
Can anybody help me with this? Even on the Vista installation disk, I am unable to use the keyboard. The keyboard will not work on ANYTHING outside of the Bios. This is becoming a very frustrating deal. Any clues, ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. -- QwertyBoy |

He/She is using vBulletin which never picks up my posts for some reason.
When I respond, I don't first check the source. I figure that even if they never see it, others searching via google archives will. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Frank Holman" wrote in message ...
