Default Connection problem with Microsoft products

Hi! I've installed an application called "WasyTune 6" by gigabyte, which
overclocks my CPU dynamically. When i enabled this setting, i heard a
strange noice from the speakers, and the PC froze. I restarted the PC,
and as soon as the vista login animation showed up, the noice
appeared, and the PC froze. I reset the BIOS settings to factory
defaults, and then, the PC ran correctly, apart of the following:

I can't log in to Windows Live Messenger 2009, it sais an error code
"80048820"
I can't run Windows Update, it sais it cannot connect to the update
database.

However, web messenger, Firefox, and all other apps work correctly. I
have no system restore points before the event.

I'm using Vista Ultimate X64 SP1 hungarian MUI.

Please, help me. Thanks in advance,XSB
