Desktop has XP Home with latest SP and Canon printer. Internet access via
Siemens router. Firewall is Norton IS 2009. Admin account was not password protected. Laptop has Vista Home Premium with latest SP, connected via protected WiFi to Siemens router. Firewall is Norton IS 2009. Admin account is password protected Successfully set up file and printer sharing and was happy to be able to send print requests from laptop to desktop and access shared desktop files from laptop. Could also access shared laptop files from desktop. Wonderful. Norton security check recommended to add password to desktop admin account. Used same ID and password as on desktop. Doing so immediately stopped access from laptop to desktop printer and shared folders (reverse access still OK). Disabling Norton on both PCs did not help. What can I do? |
