Default Printer connection issues with Vista 64 to XP home network server

New laptop with Vista - 64 bit connected to my home network. Vista sees my
Desktop, sees the other laptop (both running XP). "sees" the printers, but
when I try to connect, I continue to get an error.... The server for the 'HP
Laserjet 2200 Series PCL 5e' printer does not have the correct printer driver
installed. If you want to search for the proper driver, click OK. Otherwise,
click Cancel and contact
your network administrator or original equipment manufacturer for the
correct printer driver.

I click "OK"
The computer prompts me to find the .INF file.

I browse to the XP DESKTOP computer and find the hpcu083b.inf file.
I click on it and click "open".

I then get the error "Printer driver setup error. Operation could not
be completed (error 0x800f0214).

I have had this computer since Feb 12th and have been attempting to connect
my network printer to it. Unsuccessfully. I have an Epson RX620 (less than
two years old), that gives me the same error when I try to connect to it.
I have installed Bonjour. I modified my firewall so it would communicate as
it needs to...(UPD file modification).

Still no luck.
I have removed and re-added the printer driver a few times. I have tried
installing it localy, but not sure how to "redirect" it to the network.
Printers will print when connected with the USB.

At my wits end. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Can you just download the driver stuff to the computer you want to print
from (the laptop) and install it on that machine?

You will probably have to download / unzip and then point the "Have Disk
" dialog to there
