My computer has been experiencing glitches that require a hard reboot to
fix. The problem seems to happen randomly, though I have only experienced it while gaming (most of what I do on that machine). This is what happens: the glitch first reveals itself by the mouse cursor looking screwy. Everything functions fine, but the actual arrow of the mouse cursor looks graphically different. Then, within 30 seconds, all the graphics on the screen become glitched and the system locks up. At that point I have to reboot. My video drivers are up to date and have been updated several times in the past year with no reduction of this problem. My system specs a Vista Ultimate x64 Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 4GB DDR3 1333 Nvidia 9800GX2 EVGA nForce 790i motherboard Any help would be greatly appreciated as these crashes are extremely irritating. |

Could be overheating, failing video card, video card overheating, etc. Start your troubleshooting there, not with the software (drivers). http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/...ardware_Tshoot Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/#FAQ |
