I recently installed software called “AVS Video Converter” and now whenever I
try to burn a DVD using Nero I get an error something like “Windows host process rundll32 has stopped working. The program has halted.” Recently the problem has gotten worse and I get multiple error messages in rapid-fire and I can’t close them down fast enough so I need to reboot to get my computer back. The fact that I recently installed the aforementioned software may or may not have anything to do with it. I know that the first reaction is to uninstall the AVS software, and I may do that. And maybe need to reinstall Nero. But I’d rather fix the problem if possible. I’ve done a little research on rundll32 and learned that it is a file that allows similar programs to use the same resources. I also read that sometimes a registry tune-up can fix problems with rundll32. I’ve gotten some good help from these newsgroups so I decided to get some advice here before proceeding. |
