Hi everyone. I'm new here, and I really need help. I have a new computer with Vista Home Premium 64bit. I wanted to install a picture management software (ginipic) which asked me to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. I don't remember if it was during the installation of this or after, but my computer crashed, and ever since, every time I restart my computer a gray screen comes up and says that my system could not start and that it has to restore my previous session. I looked at my Programs and Features to uninstall it, but it doesn't appear there. I also searched my computer for it, and nothing. This is driving me crazy, because I lose a lot of work that I've done on my computer every time it restores itself. I've been told that I have to format my computer, and I really wish to avoid this. Is there anything I can do? Please please help me!!! My computer is brand new (about a month) and it's really annoying to lose all my work all the time... -- Shlombo |

The first thing to do is see if you have a system restore point created
prior to the .Net installation and revert to it. Alas, you may encounter the sad truth about System Resto the restore point you need may not be there or be usable. |

Unfortunately the latest system restore points was after the installation. So is it true that my only option now is formatting the computer??? -- Shlombo |
