Default Failure to Boot

Hello

I am hoping someone can help with a system problem that my daughter is
having on her Fujitsu-Siemens laptop.

The operating system is Windows Vista basic.

Essentially, the system will not boot up. I have tried using the recovery
CD, and booting up selecting the CD option from the boot menu. However, it
starts laoding and then hangs, with a grey screen. I have tried booting in
Safe mode and bootlogging and recovery. Nothing works. I have also booted
with the drivers CD in the drive, again, no success. The furthest we have
got is a grey screen with the microsoft logo and a loading bar that scrolls
left to right, to show it is loading. But after a few minutes, it re-boots
and starts all over again.

Any pointers gratefully received.

Anthony

Just to add some further detail, the screen message I received on running
the option from the boot-up menu to prevent a re-boot after system crash was
to the effect that the Boot Drive is unmountable and I had been prevented
from accessing windows to prevent damage to the computer.

Thanks

Sounds like hardware failure(s). Contact the laptop mftr.'s tech support for
repair/replacement. It doesn't sound like only the hard drive to me.

Thanks. I was dreading the thought that it was hardware related.
