Default WSUS

Hello,

I am at a loss as to where to post this so I made a guess. If I am
misguided please let me know.

I have installes WSUS 3.0 on windows server 2003. Everything works great
but I have a vista home machine that I need to configure manually in the
registry to use my wsus server instead of windows update. After making the
modifications the update type and time are configured correctly (I can no
longer change them) but the WSUS server does not detect the machine. I have
executed wuauclt but to no avail. Is there a way to do this? Am I missing
something?

Here is what I have...

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Win dows\WindowsUpdate]
"TargetGroup"="Vista"
"TargetGroupEnabled"=dword:00000001
"WUServer"="http://Server-G"
"WUStatusServer"="http://Server-G"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Win dows\WindowsUpdate\AU]
"AUOptions"=dword:00000004
"NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers"=dword:00000001
"NoAutoUpdate"=dword:00000000
"ScheduledInstallDay"=dword:00000000
"ScheduledInstallTime"=dword:00000003
"UseWUServer"=dword:00000000
"DetectionFrequencyEnabled"=dword:00000000

Thanks,
Ernst.
