Default CPU Spikes and Audio Lag

I need help
My PC has been having CPU usage spikes every few seconds. This wouldn't
be so bad as it causes a minimal amount of lag onscreen, but it makes
the audio lag when ever it happens. This means listening to music is
ruined and cutscenes in games can get out of sync.
Please help me, thanks.

You need to find out what is using all your processing power. Start Task
Manager and see what's running and being the resource hog.

And of course, you should answer The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If
the problem is new, what changed between the time things worked and the
time they didn't?

Ok. I'm not sure what changed exactly but I think it was an update.
I've pinned the program to ccSvcHst.exe.

Good troubleshooting job. That file belongs to Symantec. Why am I not
surprised? Because Symantec products are garbage. Uninstall whatever Norton
cr*p you have and replace it with a better, less invasive antivirus. I
recommend NOD32 (commercial) or Avast (free). The built-in Windows Firewall
is more than adequate for most people. If you are not behind a router (IOW
are connected directly to a cable/DSL modem), disconnect from the Internet
before you uninstall the antivirus. If you're behind a router, you'll be
fine while you're uninstalling Norton and installing your new protection.
