Default need driver for Olympus D-520 zoom camera

I've an Olympus D-520 camera (came across on the Mayflower) and when I
insert the Disk, it wants to install Quicktime 5. I didn't know if I
should allow that, so I didn't go any further.

I've been looking for a Vista compatible driver for this but can't find
anything.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction as to what I should or can
do, other than hurling the camera out to a third world country.

Not sure what you mean by a *removable drive" ... nothing such as
Olympus shows up in computer.
What I'm looking for DDW, is the correct driver to download so I can
use this camera on a Vista laptop.
If you've anything further to assist, I'd appreciate. Thanks for coming
in on this.

When you connect the camera - and turn it ON - do you hear the
connected sound generated by the system?

With the camera connected - and turned ON - click the Start Orb, then
Computer.

Do you see anything other than your system drive and your optical
drive? Like a mysterious Drive "E" (or "F", or whatever)?

DDW, I think at this point, I'll attempt to hurl myself into the paper
shredder.
The word today is ... ON .......... ON !!!!
Yes, the camera has to be ON !!!!
Anyway, for some weird and wonderful reason, I cannot get the Camedia
Master 4.0 to install. And that reason is, I do not have the
Registration # but who cares ... it's working under Windows Photo
Gallery.
Now, I shall slip out to the Recliner in great amazement and wonder how
one can be so stupid as not having the camera turned on. Things just
keep improving minute by minute!??!

Thanks for the help! It's seriously appreciated!!!

chuckle

Coulda happened to anybody. Glad you got things fixed.

For what it's worth: I never use my camera's software. I prefer to
copy/cut and paste from the card in the camera to the folder of my own
choosing and take things from there.
