Hi, I'm using Vista Ultimate, and connecting to the internet via USB cable modem. (I'm unable to use a router or MPLS due to ISP technical reasons). I want my computer to connect at startup, so I set my system to login automatically to my administrator account and put a shortcut to my dial-up connection in the Startup group. Up until recently everything worked fine and the system connected to the internet upon startup. A few days ago I formatted my system, and since then it doesn't work. It seems as if the system simply ignores the dialup shortcut in my Startup group. If I use a desktop shortcut (a copy of the Startup shortcut) - it works fine. Other programs on my Startup folder also load fine - all but the dialup connection. Any help would be appreciated! Guy. -- guycopy Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |
